History of Michi Design
We started out as a metal furniture manufacturer in Northern California in the late 1980's. We broadened our line to include portable lighting in the early 1990's. Lured by the beauty of the scenic vistas, 300+ days a year of sunshine, and the nearby Cascade Mountains we moved production to Central Oregon in 1998. Today, we fabricate, assemble and finish our products at our factory in Bend, Oregon.
Throughout our history, we have focused on hand made and hand finished products and we use domestic sources whenever possible. We have done business with major hospitality chains throughout the country, and have even shipped products as far as Finland in the recent past.
